Working for a brighter future

Hi,

Just want to tell some of the reasons for which I'm not that active on deviantArt right now. The reason cannot be simpler: these few months have marked a cornerstone in my real life: I graduated, I started my Ph.D. in cognitive robotics, I've been busy and I haven't so much time to invest in graphics and theming.

I'm sorry for any problem that this may cause, but my graphic work is completely free, and being it not my primary "business" (even though for a while I wanted to), I have to put it in the background. And, since my spare time is becoming smaller and smaller, my proficiency is significantly decreased!

Anyhow, I want to share with you my plans for the foreseeable future, so you can stay tuned and easily follow any update.

1. Personal website › This is my primary job right now, and any other work will be subsequent to this. It's currently a beta version hosted on a free italian server, but I'm planning to move to a more professional link as soon as I will finish the mobile version. If you're interested, the themporary link is this › alecive.altervista.org . Feedback (and web traffic!) is encouraged! The more feedback I get, the faster I'll finish the site.
   If you've used my work in the past, it'd be awesome if you could update the credit to point to alecive.altervista.org instead of alecive.deviantart.com.
2. Porting of ANewStart suite to GNOME 3.4 › As you may know (if you don't, you should!), new GNOME 3.4 version has dramatically changed the way in which 3.2 themes behave. Being this a very disruptive process, updating GNOME 3.2 themes to the latest 3.4 version is far from being easy, since I have to basically rewrite the themes from scratch. And this takes a long time. Even though my main focus (right now) is upon the personal website, some work is already done, and if you want to try the alpha versions of the porting, I can give you a downloadable archive.
3. Porting of ANewStartBlood suite to GNOME 3.4 › Sharing ANewStart and ANewStartBlood the same underlying style, I think that this is not gonna take so much time if I already released ANewStart 3.4 version
4. Updating AwOken & kAwOken icon themes › Unfortunately, my main interest (i.e. AwOken icons) has to be stopped a bit. I'm planning a lot of great improvements regarding the icon theme, but I actually don't know when I will be able to release the new version. Hopefully, in time for Ubutun 12.10 Quantal Quetzal!
5. Porting of Singularity & Prospero themes to GNOME3 › Even though these suites didn't ever get so much attention, I like them very much and I think that they both deserve an update to GNOME3. But I think that I will do this directly when GNOME 3.6 will be released.
