My entry for the #deskmodder-de desktop screen contest

DESCRIPTION:
  • Wallpaper: [link] by =realityDream

  • GTK theme: Prospero (will be released soon)

  • Metacity Theme: Prospero (will be released
    soon)

  • Icon Theme: AwOken

  • Top panel: conky (its config will be released as soon as possible). Clicking on the top-left and top-right part of the desktop it's possible opening two further popups that show weather forecasts and cpu/ram usage

  • Bottom panel: tint2 (its config will be released as soon as possible) + awn for indicator-applet and systray


    • This theme is freely inspired by [link] by ~lianx-design

Excellent work and I wish you had used a *box WM so you could join us over at :iconblackboxdesktop: A fav, anyway!

Thanks! I tried to port the *box minimal style to the more redundant and complex gtk.. I know there's a lot to improve, but this first try satisfied me! :)

I would do it gladly, but I'm not a *box user (I confess, I'm lazy: I started with gnome and I think I'll die with it :D), so I really don't know how to contribute to your group! :(

I know many people who started with Gnome and switched to the beauty and simplicity of a *box WM. Maybe you will, too :) Anyway, many of our members are not *box users. They just listen and contribute whatever they can, like GTK themes and stuff, in the "Other" section. And some don't contribute anything at all, they just support the community. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that, if you want to, you are more than welcome to join. I really like the aesthetic way you see things and I'm gonna watch you :)
