************************************************

Because every detail matters.

GrayRevenge is a complete suite for GNOME 3.4. It comes with GTK2, GTK3, Metacity, Unity, Gnome-shell, Cinnamon, Xfwm themes. Slick, fast, and elegant.

WARNING: this theme works for GNOME3.4 / Ubuntu 12.04 users, but it will not work for previous versions of GNOME or Ubuntu.

All the credits to minteastwood [link] for XFWM theme. Thanks to satya164 [link] and its Orion theme for made me able to understand new GNOME 3.4 theming and release this suite.

I wish, but it's too difficult. Maybe for 3.8 or even 3.10. I'm sorry , but gnome developers are messing around and I cannot follow their fast and disruptive development.

Thanks for the response. It doesn't look like pixmap is in the repo anymore (Linux Mint).

I'm using the Cinnamon desktop environment (Mint), which I believe is a fork of Gnome 3 ...

I'm no expert when it comes to themes, but isn't this happening because there is no gtk-2.0/Styles/Tabs folder in the theme?

Basically, it looks like those images are missing in the download?

Yes. But the problem is that in the new version there isn't the need for this folder since I should have dropped its dependence.

What version of GrayRevenge are you using?

I re-downloaded and re-installed the version on this page. Same problem still.

Awesome theme. About the best I was able to find. Still don't like the small differences between gtk2 and gtk3 apps' looks, but at least everything looks similar and aesthetically satisfying. Haven't had that feeling since Equinox Evolution became useless because of gtk3 release.

GTK+ 3.6 seems to have another theme format or something. Button and menu backgrounds are mess after the update.

Yes I'd have to to the porting. But unfortunately for the lack of spare time I have to wait until I will release the new version of AwOken icon them and the gtk 3.6 porting of ANewStart theme. So, probably, I will get a new version of GrayRevenge only with the next 3.8 release of gnome.

I'm very sorry but due to the lack of time I cannot be up-to-date with the mess that gnome is doing in this period :(

This theme is not supported for 12.10. Anyway, being XCFE based on GTK2 should be. I will give a try in order to fix it, but I cannot assure anything :(

I really like this theme as it reminds me of Evolution Equinox in terms of color and style. I did encounter a bug where the drop down menu for the search bar in Firefox is white, making it unreadable. Will there be other colors for the colored elements, or will it only be the teal-ish color it is now?

Can you post a screenshot of your issue?

Regarding the color, probably I will release something in the future, but I cannot ensure you anything since gnome is messing a lot with theme specifications and I'm not sure if I can get a big number of themes to manage :(

I've been trying to recreate the white menu bug, but so far it hasn't happened again. It must have been some odd Gnome bug that got fixed since it happened after waking my system from sleep mode.

Hi, I really like your theme but there is just one little thing that is not working for me, you see I'm using Linux Mint 13 and XFCE so everything looks good, except for the terminal and gedit windows ... the gtk style resets to the default one ... :/

Hope you can help me out

That's because you only saved the theme for your user account and not the root account. Copy and paste the themes from your ~/.themes/ directory to /root/.themes/ , the same applies for icons.

You surely miss some engines. It's (almost) completely broken! What distro are you using? What version of GNOME?

Great theme!
Possible "improvement" suggestions:
1) To have a slightly lighter background in the active panel when Nautilus switches to dual panel mode (F3)
2) Title bar buttons: red, yellow, green
3) Colour options in addition to the current dark green (although it can be easily tweaked)
Thank you!

Just loaded the theme on ubuntu 12.04, latest cinnamon and some of styling is off with the 'window list with window preview' and 'windows list with app grouping' applets. I think it has something to do with your theme since all the other themes are fine with these applets.

But it looks amazing though! Thanks!

Ok. Removing the padding of the panel (even though I don't like it that much) I solved the problem of the different padding between the bottom and the top panel. But the different rendering in the flipped mode unfortunately remains. And so the problem with your extension :(

Got one solution for you :)

[link]

This was posted about another theme I was checking out today.

"It's because you have set .window-list-item-box to have a max-height of 5px, Leon, the iconized windowlist draws from .window-list-item-box style so that's why the icons are just 5px high. Simply delete both "height: 5px;" and "max-height: 5px;" from .window-list-item-box and the issue disappears."

Yes, that solved the issue! Thanks daniel :)

Now the only thing that I have to fix yet is the wrong rendering of the panel if it's on the top, and the ugly rounded border of the window preview of that app :)

There was a theme I had a look at a few days ago who simply made 2 bars, one for the bottom and one for the top. This was in gnome-shell but I think both themes are quite similar though right?

Why did he created two panels for gnome-shell if gnome-shell itself has only one panel? Btw, what theme are you talking about?

it's the #panel, probably because yours is aligned to the bottom and mine is to the top. And it seems the padding is acting up on my screen. It doesn't do the 2 padding at the top, adds it automatically to the bottom as well.
